Nature Tourism

Through the CLUP or  Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2016-2025, a total area of 961.69 hectares or approximately 9.11 percent of the total area of the city was declared as Special Ecotourism Development Zone (SEDZ) comprised of the four mountainous barangays.

This area is the home of major ecotourism sites of the city, namely Dumagat Trail, Mt. Balagbag, Burong Falls, Otso-otso Falls, and Kaytitinga Falls. Through these ecotourism sites, the city promotes heritage and culture of the Dumagat Community who also serves as the local tour guides in the sites.
